Enterprise programme for young people - UK

The King's Trust helps young people aged 18 to 30 years who want to set up their own business in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.

How much you can get

You will have access to start-up funding up to 拢30,000 based on eligibility, viability of business, and affordability. No funding is guaranteed.

Who it鈥檚 for

You can apply if you:

  • are on The King鈥檚 Trust Enterprise programme
  • are aged 18 to 30 years
  • have an idea for a business you want to start within the next 12 months
  • have the right to work in the UK, and you intend for your business to operate in the UK
  • own, or plan to own, at least 50% of the business

You cannot apply if:

  • you have been actively trading for over 1 year
  • you own less than 50% of your business

Maximum employees

Not applicable.

What you can get

You will have access to:

  • one-to-one support
  • business guidance and mentoring
  • support with writing a business plan and creating a cashflow plan
  • access to a Test My Business Grant up to 拢500
  • access to our start-up funding package: a grant of up to 拢5,000 and loan funding between 拢500 and 拢25,000
  • up to 3 years of post-launch support
