What you鈥檒l need to apply鈥�
You鈥檒l need to:
- be at least 19 years old鈥�
- have completed the short course requirements outlined in the How to apply for UK engineering fishing Certificate of Competency (CoC) guidance from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA)
- have met the sea service requirements outlined in the 4 options in the How to apply for UK engineering fishing CoCs guidance from the MCA
- have a minimum of 24 months seagoing service while holding a class 2 licence on fishing vessels of at least 350kW
- provide evidence of your sea service
- provide proof of identity, such as an MCA-attested copy of your passport
- have an oral exam 鈥減ass鈥�
