Liver disease profile
The liver disease profile provides an invaluable resource relating to one of the main causes of premature mortality nationally.
Liver disease is almost entirely preventable with the major risk factors - alcohol, obesity, and hepatitis B and C - accounting for up to 90% of cases.
The presents data for key indicators around liver disease for England, the regions, and where possible, counties, unitary authorities (UAs) and districts.
Some of the indicators are also presented by sex and level of deprivation to highlight inequalities in liver disease outcomes and care between these groups.
