Detail of outcome
From January to April 2012 the government consulted on changes to the Department for Communities and Local Government鈥檚 statistics. The first part was on land use change statistics and sought views on data collection options to ensure that these statistics continue to meet users鈥� priority needs whilst maximising value for money.
The second part proposed a rationalised collection of housing data to reduce the burden on local authorities.
The third part consulted on stopping publication of regional data in light of the closure of the Government Office Network.

The government is committed to rationalise data collections to minimise burden on data providers whilst ensuring that the Department鈥檚 statistics are aligned with policy priorities and meet user needs.
