拢100k games funding contest launched
Registration opens soon for competition run by Abertay University, TIGA and Technology Strategy Board programme IC Tomorrow.
Budding games developers could net themselves a share of 拢100,000 to build a prototype.
The is offering four prizes of 拢25,000, free membership of trade association for six months, mentoring and technical support.
The funding, which was announced by Creative Industries Minister at the Investment Conference earlier this week, comes from Abertay University鈥檚 Prototype Fund.
鈥淏eing able to show a potential investor a prototype can make a real difference in securing all-important funding, so this competition will provide direct help to budding developers,鈥� Mr Vaizey said. 鈥淚 hope that it will prove key to making some brilliant ideas into successful businesses.鈥�

There are three categories for applications and judges will look聽at aspects such as market potential and whether business models are commercially viable.
