拢3.5 million boost for successful governing bodies
Netball, running and lacrosse among the sports to benefit from extra investment.

Successful sports governing bodies will receive additional money from to get more people involved at a grassroots level and build on public interest in .
A total of 拢3.5 million has been awarded to help drive up participation in netball, cycling, running, canoeing and lacrosse.
Sport England Chief Executive Jennie Price said these sports were 鈥渟uccess stories鈥 that showed how it could be done.
The investments are:
- 拢1.058 million for to recruit more cyclists
- More than 拢1 million to allow to extend its popular Back to Netball programme
- 拢1 million for county sports partnerships who will work with to boost the number of trained running leaders and local running groups across the country
- will receive an extra 拢207,700 through the British Canoe Union for its new Go Canoeing project
- The will receive an additional 拢199,250 to take its INTO lacrosse programme to 15 new communities.
