Applications for Chevening Scholarships in the UK are open
Applications for the UK Government鈥檚 flagship Chevening Scholarships programme are now open. Applicants should apply by 7 October.

Lebanese citizens (and Palestinians residing in Lebanon) are eligible to apply under the Lebanon scheme in any subject area.聽
The scholarship offers full financial support for scholars to study for any eligible master鈥檚 degree at over 150 UK universities whilst also gaining access to a wide range of exclusive academic, professional, and cultural experiences.
Chevening Scholarships are awarded to potential future leaders and individuals from all backgrounds who can clearly demonstrate outstanding leadership, influence, and networking skills.聽 They should have the commitment and skills required to create positive change in their respective field and/or community, and to show how a master鈥檚 degree from a UK university would help them achieve that upon their return to their home country.

The Scholarship scheme for Lebanon has two local partnerships.
- For the fifth consecutive year, 聽will offer one scholarship to a Lebanese national (or Palestinian national who would be normally resident in Lebanon) to an individual who wishes to pursue a master鈥檚 in Governance, International Development, Human Rights or Public Financial Management/Administration at one of the UK鈥檚 top 20 universities.
- For the second year, The Chevening-Raffy Manoukian Scholarship will offer up to three scholarships to a Lebanese (or Palestinian national residing in Lebanon) to an聽individual pursuing a master鈥檚 in Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, STEM and similar topics at one of the UK鈥檚 top 10 universities.
- In addition to 聽which was set up by the British Embassy in Beirut since 2017 offers one scholarship to a woman who wishes to pursue a master鈥檚 in an area related to Gender Studies, Peace and Conflict Studies, Development and Human Rights and Refugee and Migration Studies or other similar fields. The candidate is chosen by the British Embassy when awarded the Chevening scholarship.
Lebanon is also eligible for two fellowships.
The Chevening Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies (OCIS) Fellowships are aimed at mid-career academics or professionals who are dedicated to the promotion of academic activities which encourage a more informed understanding of the culture and civilisation of Islam and contemporary Muslim societies.聽 Fellows will undertake a 5-month period of self-directed research focusing on their own project on the culture and civilisation of Islam and contemporary Muslim societies in a global context. Lebanese and (Palestinians residing in Lebanon) are eligible to apply.聽 Deadline to submit applications is 7 October 2025.
The Chevening Clore Leadership Fellowship is a partnership between the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and Clore Leadership, offering mid-career professionals in the arts and culture sector an exceptional opportunity to undertake an individually tailored leadership programme in the UK. The Clore Fellowships are awarded each year to leaders in areas such as the visual and performing arts, museums, libraries, archives and heritage, film and digital media, and cultural policy and practice. Deadline to submit applications is 7 October 2025.
The Chevening Alumni Association in Lebanon consists of over 250 members, including 聽who have specialised in a variety of subjects, including in gender, human rights, good governance, humanitarian emergencies, economy, health and more.
Since the programme started in 1983, over 60,000 professionals have advanced their careers through Chevening, demonstrating the UK鈥檚 commitment to developing the leaders of tomorrow.
