British Embassy Kinshasa hosted meeting to mark International Anti-Corruption Day
To mark International Anti-Corruption Day on 9 December, the Embassy hosted a meeting with the private sector, public sector and civil society.

Supporting the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo to improve its business climate and attract foreign investment is a priority for British Embassy Kinshasa. To mark International Anti-Corruption Day on 9 December 2014, Charg茅 d鈥橝ffaires Tim Morris hosted a round-table meeting with representatives from the private sector, public sector and civil society at the UK Ambassador鈥檚 residence.
Progress and next steps on tackling corruption were discussed, including through implementation of the DRC Anticorruption Pact, signed last year by the public and private sectors and civil society. Dr. Euan McMillan, UK Department for International Development (DFID) lead on economic development, made a presentation on DFID鈥檚 work on Private Sector Development. This work, of which anti-corruption is an important component, aims to help the DRC improve its business environment.
