The Prime Minister's Official Spokesperson answered questions about sugar tax, Ofcom and Intelligence and Security Committee appointments.
Sugar tax
When asked if the Prime Minister had any plans for a sugar tax, the Prime Minister鈥檚 Official Spokesperson (PMOS) said the Prime Minister鈥檚 position had not changed and there were no plans for a tax.
Ofcom
When asked about any plans to give additional powers to Ofcom to deal with extremist content as part of the Extremism Bill, the PMOS said we鈥檝e said we want to have a look at this area in terms of Ofcom鈥檚 responsibilities and that鈥檚 what we鈥檙e going to do.
Intelligence and Security Committee
When asked about appointments to the Intelligence and Security Committee, the PMOS said these would be made according to the provisions in the Justice and Security Act 2013.
