Winner of the student paper competition on TTIP announced in Warsaw
The Polish Institute of International Affairs, the British Embassy in Warsaw and the Embassy of Sweden in Warsaw announced the winner of the student paper competition on TTIP.
The competition was open to all students interested in TTIP who wished to better understand the forces and processes that will shape the transatlantic economy in the future. The competition attracted 29 high quality papers looking at this important agreement from different perspectives.
The winner was announced on 3 December 2014 at a reception hosted by the Swedish Ambassador in Warsaw. Olga Nowicka from Warsaw University, who submitted an essay called 鈥淪mall business, big opportunities? 鈥 the TTIP and the EU鈥檚 SMEs鈥 was the winner. Five other essays received honorable mentions. These were:

- 鈥淭he Energy Agenda in TTIP: New Possibilities for Europe鈥 by Aleksander Ujazdowski
- 鈥淚SDS: The Ultimate Obstacle to the Conclusion of a Landmark Agreement?鈥 by Aleksandra Lisicka
Prizes for the author of the winning submission include a study trip to London to meet UK government experts involved in TTIP and other aspects of foreign policy, publication of the essay in PISM鈥檚 peer-reviewed journal, the Polish Quarterly of International Affairs and a three-month internship at the Polish Institute of International Affairs.
