Rebecca Fabrizi is the Acting High Commissioner at the British High Commission in Malawi. She took up this role in July 2025.

Prior to assuming this position she was the UK Special Envoy for Small Island Developing States, leading the development of partnerships, policies and programmes to address the unique vulnerabilities of SIDS and support them to achieve sustainable resilience. She was also the lead for bilateral relationships between the UK and Caribbean countries. In her diplomatic career so far, Rebecca has enjoyed postings in Beijing, Rome, Belgrade and at the United Nations and WTO in Geneva. She has also worked for the European Union in Brussels and as an academic at the Australian National University.
