This aviation modelling framework provides the foundation for analysis in:
- Supporting the transition to Jet Zero: creating the UK SAF mandate
- SAF mandate cost benefit analysis
The modelling suite has been updated in line with the department鈥檚 policy of continuous improvement to its analytical models. The improvements focused on updating the model to accurately represent聽UK:

aircraft movements and emissions
The precision in forecasting aviation emissions has been further refined.
This version of the aviation model replaces the聽2017 aviation modelling suite.
