Details
The Information Commissioner鈥檚 Office (ICO) undertook聽聽of the Department for Education (DfE) in February and March 2020.
DfE聽extended the scope of the audit to include the sharing of data contained within the Learning Records Service (LRS) database, following a breach of the system. This was to allow the department to take action against聽ICO聽recommendations early.
ICO聽issued a聽听辞蹿听DfE聽in November 2022.
DfE published a response to the audit and the formal reprimand in October 2023. This is an update to the ICO audit closure summary.
