This Notice advises all Shipowners, Shipbuilders, Masters, Certifying Authorities and Surveyors of requirements imposed by the Merchant Shipping (Fire Protection) Regulations 2023 (SI 2023/568) (鈥渢he 2023 Regulations鈥�) for ships constructed before 1st July 2002 and by the Merchant Shipping (Fire Protection: Small Ships) Regulations 1998 (SI 1998/1011) (鈥渢he Small Ships Regulations鈥�) for all ships subject to those Regulations in relation to firefighting equipment.
