This report was produced by the Growth Gateway programme in partnership with the Boston Consulting Group to inform UK policymakers, MedTech firms, and trade and investment stakeholders.

It presents findings from extensive consultations with UK MedTech companies to diagnose barriers to investing in ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) markets and proposes targeted policy and market recommendations to reduce friction across the investment journey.

Designed for FCDO officials, trade promotion agencies, and UK businesses, the guidance covers infrastructure gaps, regulatory divergence, workforce challenges, intellectual property (IP) protection, and post-Brexit trade implications.

It also proposes 14 specific recommendations at ASEAN, UK, and government levels to support UK firms in navigating and investing in ASEAN鈥檚 MedTech sector.
