Details

The general terms document outlines commitments made by the UK and US as part of a new trade deal, and areas where the UK and US intend to negotiate further.

The update published on 20 June 2025 provides information on progress the UK and US have made to implement the general terms for the EPD since it was agreed on 8 May 2025. This includes details on:

  • UK implementation of commitments in the general terms relating to beef and ethanol

  • US implementation of commitments in the general terms relating to beef, automobiles (including parts), aerospace and steel and aluminum

  • ongoing negotiations
