Use this form to get approval to become an approved exporter of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).

Approval will allow you, or any approved authorised treatment facility (AATF) supplying you, to issue evidence notes for WEEE which you export for reuse as a whole appliance, treatment, recovery or recycling.

  1. This application form has been updated to remove reference to specific fees throughout the form and instead refers customers to contact their regulator for up to date fees guidance. On page 8 the address for the Wales data protection officer has been changed to the Cathays Park address which is: Natural Resources Wales Welsh Government Offices Cathays Park King Edward VII Avenue Cardiff CF10 3NQ. They no longer occupy the Ty Cambria building. Text on page 5, International Waste Shipments (IWS) previously stated 鈥淎Es must comply with the provisions of the Waste Shipments Regulation 2006/1013/EC, as amended, which apply to the export of wastes from the UK. The regulation provides a range of different control procedures, which are determined by the classification of the waste and the country of destination. Most transboundary shipments of WEEE will be subject to a notification procedure.鈥 This has been changed to 鈥淩egardless of any Approval under the WEEE Regulations, all exporters must comply with all relevant legislation which applies to export of wastes from the UK.鈥
