This publication provides data on the number of children and young people with an聽EHC聽plan in England.

It also provides data on the administration of EHC聽plans, including:

• the number of聽EHC聽plans in place in January 2025
• the number of聽EHC聽plans made for the first time during the 2024 calendar year
• the number and percentage of聽EHC聽plans that were issued within 20 weeks
• the number of requests for EHC needs assessments
• the number of EHC needs assessments carried out

It is based on the statutory SEN2 data collection.
