Bounce Back Loan Recovery Letters

The Public Sector Fraud Authority (PSFA), part of the UK Government, is responsible for managing fraud and associated error against the UK public sector. The PSFA acts as an agent for government departments and public bodies that have incurred losses which may be due to fraud.听

The PSFA is currently working with lenders to seek recovery of Bounce Back Loans that recipients may not have been entitled to.

If you have received a letter from us听

If you have received a letter from us, email us at: Loan.RepaymentsPSFA@Cabinetoffice.gov.uk

The subject heading of the letter should read as your name stated on the letter followed by the reference number in the top right hand corner of your letter. (Example subject line: Joe Bloggs 12346).听

Within the email you should respond to the requests outlined in your letter.听

The team will confirm receipt, following which a member of our team will respond to the content of your email.

If you need information in a different format

Our letters are available in accessible formats. You might need an alternative format if:

  • you鈥檙e visually impaired
  • you have another condition which makes standard print difficult

Please only contact our Enforcement Investigations email address if you have received a letter from us. If you have a more general enquiry for the Public Sector Fraud Authority, email our central team at psfa@cabinetoffice.gov.uk

Check if your letter is real听

Our initial letters will never include:

  • Contact email addresses,听
  • Contact phone numbers,
  • Links to websites,
  • Bank account or payment details.

How to spot a phishing email, fake text or fake letter听

Don鈥檛 forget that if you contact us, we鈥檒l only email you through an official government email address, ending with 鈥榞ov.uk鈥.

If you鈥檝e seen or received something that doesn鈥檛 feel right, STOP!

  • break the contact 鈥 don鈥檛 reply, respond, click on any links, or make any payments
  • check if it鈥檚 genuine - contact us using the details above only;听

Reporting fraud听

Whether you鈥檝e seen something suspicious or been a victim of fraud, you should always report it. Providing details of what happened will help the police crack down on the criminals and could prevent the same thing happening to others.

If you鈥檝e been scammed, defrauded or experienced cyber crime, online or by calling 0300 123 2040.

Avoid other websites, emails and phone numbers that imitate government services

Some websites, emails or phone numbers look like they鈥檙e part of an official government service when they鈥檙e not. Some make you pay for things that would be free or cheaper if you used the official government service.
