Documents you'll need to apply
Before you apply, you must unless you鈥檝e already been assessed by Ecctis.
When you apply you鈥檒l need to provide:
- a valid passport or other travel document that shows your identity and nationality
- proof of your knowledge of English
- your unique person identifier number or certificate that was given to you by Ecctis when they checked your qualification
Other documents you might need
Depending on your circumstances, you might be asked to provide:
- proof you have enough personal savings to support yourself in the UK, for example bank statements (unless you鈥檝e been in the UK with a valid visa for at least 12 months)
- proof of your relationship with your partner or children if they鈥檙e applying with you
- your tuberculosis test results if you鈥檙e from a listed country
If you鈥檙e switching to this visa from another visa, you鈥檒l also need to provide either:
- your biometric residence permit (BRP) - you can use it for 18 months after the expiry date printed on the card
- online proof of your immigration status if you have an eVisa -聽 you鈥檒l need to get a share code
If your documents are not in English or Welsh you鈥檒l also need to provide a certified translation.
