Abstract

This paper provides a summary of the major findings reported in one of the RIPARWIN reports: a working report titled 鈥淩ice Production Economics at the Local and National Levels: The Case of Usangu Plains in Tanzania.鈥� The paper intends to elicit a fruitful debate on the role of rice production in Usangu and its implications on the local and national economies.
